Dear Alternative Education Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. We are excited to begin a new year of learning. Alternative Education programs offer students a plethora of opportunities to ensure they meet their academic and career goals. At Gilbert and the four independent study programs offered through Anaheim Union High School district, staff strive to provide individualized program to students that meet their personalized academic needs. Students are provided with opportunities to not only expand their academic growth but also participate in dual enrollment opportunities and explore career options through a multitude of CTE and ROP career related pathways.

We believe that the foundation for student success is a positive working relationship between students, families and the school. Through our Parent Center we provide families with extensive parent engagement programs in which parents and family members will have opportunities to participate in various classes offered throughout the year, as well as, participate in learning walks to see the great things happening in the classrooms.

The staff at all of our alternative education sites are committed to bringing quality instruction and highly engaging learning experiences to students. Staff and administration work diligently to ensure students are working to build the skills that allow them to be successful both academically and personally.
